Wiki Battle FAQ: the Atlas 01 discovery pack of five Wikipedia cardsThe Atlas 01 discovery pack covered by this Wiki Battle FAQ: five cards, published odds.

Wiki Battle FAQ: getting started

What is Wiki Battle?

Wiki Battle is an independent card game for the browser, built from English Wikipedia articles. The Atlas edition holds 180 cards across People, Artifacts, Landmarks, Nature, Wildlife and Space. Open packs, fuse and trade duplicates, and take three-card decks into tactical duels in a phone or desktop browser. Wikipedia, the Wikimedia Foundation and WikiMasters do not run or endorse it.

Is it free to play?

Yes. New collectors get 3 packs, a free pack refills every 12 hours (up to 2 stored), and 500 earned coins buy another. Coins come from a daily check-in, the three-question daily quiz, missions and battles; weekly play, achievements and the free Atlas Season 1 track add more packs. No card is reserved for paying players.

What is the Atlas Pass?

Atlas Season 1 is a 30-tier pass with 300 XP per tier, open from Oct 9 to Nov 20, 2026. XP comes from packs, the daily quiz, battles and missions. Every player gets the free track (6 packs and 600 coins); the US$9.90 premium track adds 17 packs and 900 coins, ending with the “Atlas Pioneer” title.

Wiki Battle FAQ: packs, odds and pity

What are the odds in each pack?

Every pack contains five distinct cards. The first four slots draw Common 50%, Uncommon 28%, Rare 16%, Super Rare 5%, Ultra Rare 0.9%, Legendary 0.1%. Slot five is the featured slot and never drops below Rare: Rare 80%, Super Rare 16%, Ultra Rare 3.5%, Legendary 0.5%. Repeats are possible across packs, never within one, and free, coin and paid packs share the same tables.

How does pity work?

Pity is a hard ceiling. After 9 packs in a row without an Ultra Rare (SSR) or Legendary card, the 10th guarantees one; after 59 without a Legendary, the 60th guarantees it. Both counters belong to you, so free, earned, coin and paid packs all advance them.

Wiki Battle FAQ: fusion, serials and mutations

How does five-card fusion work?

Pick exactly five cards of one rarity, repeats allowed. All five are spent and you always receive a next-tier card, chosen among the ones you have not collected yet while any remain. Legendary cannot be fused. Crafting instead targets a specific missing card for same-rarity duplicates: 4 for C, 4 for UC, 5 for R, 6 for SR, 8 for SSR and 10 for L.

Can fusion use up a card I wanted to keep?

Not by accident. By default the lab protects four things: the final copy of any card, anything you starred, cards in a saved deck and mutated copies. If you turn protection off, the confirmation names each protected card, a one-second hold is required for Super Rare-or-higher or protected fusions, and protection resets after every fusion.

What is the Atlas Registry?

The public record of individual copies. Every new Rare-or-better copy you pull, fuse or craft gets a serial number for that card in mint order, plus its first owner and ownership history; the first 100 serials of every card count as First Edition. Fusion and crafting spend your highest serials first, so low numbers stay.

What are mutations, and how rare are they?

Every card you obtain from packs, fusion or crafting rolls once for a cosmetic print variant: Prism 2%, Inverted 0.7%, Gilded 0.25% and Misprint 0.05%. That is 3% per card, or about 14.1% of packs with at least one, and mutated copies join the registry whatever their rarity. Mutations change artwork only, never stats, and paid packs roll at the same rates.

Wiki Battle FAQ: battles and friends

How does a duel work?

Each player brings three different cards. In each of three rounds both players secretly commit a card they have not used yet plus a stance, revealed together: Attack beats Feint, Feint beats Guard, Guard beats Attack. Knock out the rival deck to win early; otherwise whoever keeps more health after round three wins. Cards are never lost in battle.

How is damage calculated?

Base damage is attack × 1,000 ÷ (1,000 + rival defense). Winning the stance clash multiplies it by 0.9 and losing it by 0.4; when both pick the same stance, Attack hits at 1×, Feint at 0.7× and Guard at 0.3×. A card’s favoured stance adds 10%, and each deck starts with 70% of its three cards’ average HP.

What is the knowledge strike?

Every round both players get the same optional two-choice question built from card data, such as which article drew more readers in the last 90 days. Pick the right option and that move deals 20% more damage.

How do I battle a friend?

Create a room in Battle and share the six-character code or link, then both of you pick three cards and ready up. Rounds against people run on a 60-second clock; if only one player commits, that player wins. Accepted friends can also challenge each other directly.

Can I practice alone or find players nearby?

Archive Sentinel, always labelled AI, offers unrated practice without a round timer. Nearby discovery is opt-in, shows other opted-in players within about 100 km only as rough distance bands, and forgets your coarse location after 24 hours.

What do battles pay?

Wins pay 20 coins, draws 10 and finished losses 5, up to 100 battle coins per UTC day; a given human opponent pays out only once per day. Forfeits and timeout losses earn nothing. Player duels also adjust an Elo rating, and everyone starts at 1,000.

Wiki Battle FAQ: trading and accounts

How does trading work?

Offer one of your cards for one another collector owns; yours is held until they answer, you cancel or seven days pass. Auctions run 1, 6, 12 or 24 hours for earned coins, with a 5% fee on sales. New collectors can trade or list after 24 hours. Registered copies keep their history, and nothing can be cashed out.

Do I need an account to play?

No. Guests play at once, linked to their collection by an essential browser cookie. Sign in to protect progress and play on other devices: use Google, or request a six-digit email code valid for ten minutes. Both methods reach the same account for the same address.

What happens to my guest progress when I sign in?

A new account adopts the guest collection in that browser. If the address already has an account, that account’s collection loads instead and the guest progress is not merged. A guest collection whose cookie is cleared cannot be recovered.

Wiki Battle FAQ: purchases, languages and sources

What can I buy, and who processes payment?

Optional one-time offers in US dollars: Atlas Discovery Bundle (10 packs, US$9.90), Atlas Collector Bundle (22 packs, US$19.90) and Atlas Archivist Bundle (60 packs, US$49.90), plus the Atlas Pass · Season 1 at US$9.90 for its premium reward track. Purchases go to a signed-in account. Checkout runs through Waffo Pancake, with Creem as a fallback; the one you pay through is the merchant of record.

Can I get a refund?

Yes: within 14 days of purchase if none of its packs have been opened or, for the Atlas Pass, no premium reward has been claimed. Email support from your checkout address with the order reference. Missing deliveries and double charges are always investigated.

Which languages are available?

The interface comes in English, French and Simplified Chinese, including card names and descriptions. Your browser language is used first, and the game’s language menu switches it at any time.

Is there a mobile app?

Wiki Battle runs in phone and desktop browsers, and supported browsers can add it to the home screen. No App Store or Google Play version has been released yet.

Where do card stats come from?

From a fixed English Wikipedia snapshot (July 9, 2026 to October 6, 2026): page views set attack, deduplicated citations and Featured or Good markers set defense, and prose length sets health, through capped formulas. Rarity adds no damage multiplier. Each card credits its article revision and photo licence.

How do I report a wrong card or get help?

Use the source feedback form for wrong card data, with a supporting link. For anything this Wiki Battle FAQ does not cover, email support@wiki-battle.com.
